1.      Define international business. Identify and discuss various forms of entry strategies in international business.


2.      What is theinportance of intonations trade theory on international trade? Briefly explain absolute advantage. Theory of international trade.

3.      What is great Depression? What are the causes and effects of the great depression?

4.      Explain the SAPTA & SAFTA with their implications for Bangladesh.

5.      Describe the role of BEPZA for economic development of Bangladesh.

6.      Define DOP (Balance of Payment) Prepare a Hypothetical BOP of a company.

7.      Briefly illustrate major activities & responsibilities of BSTI ( Bangladesh Standard & Testing Institution ) assisting international trade of Bangladesh.

8.      (a) Evaluate the following statements:-
(i)                As instruments of protection go, a tariff is less harmful to a country than a quota, and a quota is less harmful than a VER.

(ii)             Protection is an expensive and inefficient way to create Jobs.

(iii)           The Multifibre Agreement represents an excellent way to organize the international trade.

(iv)           What conditions are required for dumping to exist?
(v)              What are local content requirements? Is protection a good way to save Jobs? Why or why not?
 (b) What are the forms of International reserve?

9.      (a) Explain the arguments for and arguments against about free trade. 

(b) What is terms of trade? Explain the different types of terms of trade with examples.

 (c) Describe the objectives of exchange control.

10. (a) What are the implication of the monetary approach for the effectiveness of monetary  policy under fixed and floating exchange rates?

(b) What is Bretton woods system? Descrive the development of Bretton woods system.

(c) Explain the different rounds of GATT & WTO.
 
11. Critically discuss export and import share of Bangladesh within SAARC ( South Asian   Association of Regional Co-operational) countries. Do you think that Bangladesh Is getting benefit from SAARC?

12. Write short notes on the following (any three):-
    (a) BIMSTEC;
    (b) TCB;
    (c) World Bank;
    (d) BOP Equilibrium with capital flows;
    (e) Exchange rate.
